Start with official examples
NCBE’s sample-question page links to multiple-choice questions, integrated question sets, and performance tasks. These examples provide a way to explore the question types without relying entirely on commercial descriptions. California’s adoption begins in July 2028, so current California applicants should keep the two examination formats distinct.
Use a sample to answer a question
Our suggestion is to approach each example with a specific goal: learn the instructions, identify the required response, or practice reading supplied resources. Complete an attempt before looking at the explanation. Write down why an alternative was tempting, not merely whether your choice matched the answer.
Do not treat samples as predictions
A limited set of released examples cannot establish how often every issue will appear. Avoid building a whole study plan around the topics visible in a handful of questions. Use the applicable official content scope for coverage and the sample for format familiarity. Keep notes on your reasoning and revisit the skill with a different problem. Where an official resource is free, link to that resource rather than copying its questions into another website. This article directs readers to authorized materials; it does not reproduce secure examination content.
